We are ready for round 3 of our sudoku ATC's and here is my background. I finally used colors other than the blues and greens I had been using for rounds 1 and 2. But, don't ask me what colors are on this sheet of watercolor paper because I don't know.
I started the process with twinkling H2O's, water, a brush, and some plastic wrap. I didn't like the result even after I let it dry overnight. So, I got out my Aileen's color mists, took this sheet and several others outside and started spraying until I had something that I thought would be nice!!! After it dried I had to iron the paper since I had saturated it with so much spray, and then I put it and the other sheets I had done under some very heavy books. I've cut the piece up into ATC's and will be mailing this to Margaret in a couple of days.
It's time for a change; it's time to grow. This blog is one step that will encourage me to explore, experiment, and share my journey. But the primary element in my growth is the inspiration of my talented friends.

Welcome Buddy
Just a few months ago friends of ours lost their beloved golden retriever, Riley, to cancer. And just this week we received an email from them letting us know that they are proud 'parents' of a new golden retriever puppy. His name is Buddy!!!
I asked our friends to email us pictures of their new addition so that I could create some special cards for them.
In these first two cards I used a picture of their two grandchildren with Buddy....
It looks like the grandkids love Buddy, and I'm sure he loves them too.
Here's a close up of Buddy relaxing in the yard. He is a cutie and I can't wait to meet him myself. I've already warned our friends that I'll be tempted to take him home.
I don't see how anyone could resist him.
I love making dog themed cards and have made them for other friends when they bring a new dog into their homes.
Even after making these 6 cards I still have lots of paper and embellishments to play with.
I can hardly wait to see Buddy, and our friends, so that I can give them these cards.
Do you think they might make a trade??? I give them the cards and they give us Buddy?? Not a chance!!!
